The Joyride truck is a Japanese mini-truck called a Diahatsu Hijet that we bought as a flatbed. Katie’s husband, Jeremy, built the bookshelves on the back for us. We’ve tooling around San Diego in this very whimsical looking truck, setting up at parks and farmers markets—we can fit into lots of different places while always ensuring that the kids playing around the truck and looking at the books stay safe.
